
Orlando weather: Hurricane Isaias’ moisture brings more rain, drier air follows

We’re getting a first look at the damage Hurricane Isaias caused in North Florida when it made landfall. The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office posted pictures of damaged buildings, downed power lines, and trees covering roads in the area. Leaders with the Sheriff’s Office shared the pictures Saturday, asking anyone in the area to please let first responders and emergency managers do their jobs for a faster recovery. In Escambia County, leaders posted early Saturday saying they were beginning rescue efforts. Public safety is a top priority according to leaders there, as EMS, Fire, and law enforcement were able to begin recovery once the storm passed and conditions were safe.The Sheriff’s Office posted Saturday that one person is confirmed dead from the storm, after the Escambia County Sheriff said a tree fell on a house, killing a woman.
