Deltona woman charged with animal cruelty after bulldogs found in filth — Altamonte Springs Real Estate news

A 58-year-old woman faces two counts of animal cruelty after deputies found two English bulldogs living in filthy conditions at a Deltona home Sunday morning. An anonymous tip led deputies and Deltona Animal Control officers to a residence on Monica Street, where the dogs were reportedly living alone with minimal contact from a caretaker, according to the Volusia Sheriff’s Office.Officers found the dogs extremely dirty and underweight, with floors covered in dog waste. Deputies identified the property owner as Kristi Lynn Kilby and located her at a separate home.Kilby allowed deputies inside the Monica Street house, where they found no running water and conditions worse than they could see from outside. She surrendered the dogs to Deltona Animal Control and was taken to the Volusia County Branch Jail.Click here to download our free news, weather and smart TV apps.
